Monkeypod dining table

This monkepod dining table was designed and built for a family who wanted a contemporary custom furniture that showcased Satoshi’s craftsmanship as well as Hawaii’s bountiful nature. It was made entirely out of local hawaiian monkeypod wood. The joinery incorporates a number of mortise and tenon joints. Satoshi is versed in traditional joinery and this table was a joy to build, being able to utilize the knowledge and expertise in traditional woodworking.

Here is our latest monkeypod dining table. It is made out of dimensional monkeypod wood (all straight edges). This is a glue up of three wide boards. The table top was matched with custom black powdercoated steel legs.
