Counters and reception desks are some of what we make here at Satoshi Yamauchi Woodworks. Most of cabinetry work is made of plywood due to its quality to stay flat. Many of customers choose to go for stone countertops or live edge slab countertops. We will help you make design decisions so if you are unsure of size, design and material, we will be more than happy to assist you along the way.

Custom monkeypod reception desk counter
Custom reception desk countertops made of live edge monkeypod slabs for an office in downtown Honolulu. The reception desk countertop measures 11 feet. There are no seams as we were lucky enough to find a long enough slab. Monkeypod slabs salvaged from a property on Oahu.
Custom monkeypod reception counter and laminate cabinets
We designed and built a series of cabinets and a live edge countertop for a reception area in an office in Kahala. Laminate cabinets for the workspace area and a beautiful live edge monkeypod counter for the service area where customers will be greeted.

Sapele reception desk
This is a 23 feet long hotel reception desk we made for a local hotel here in Honolulu in 2018. The panels are made of sapele wood and the cabinets on the staff side were built using laminate to provide durability. The countertop on the customer side was made of stone to give it a luxurious look. We worked closely with the team members of our client to ensure the cabinets were designed to accommodate their needs.
Sapele concierge desk
This is a 15 feet long hotel concierge desk we made for a local hotel here in Honolulu in 2018. The wooden panels and staff countertop is made of sapale wood. The waterfall countertop on the customer side was made of stone. We sat down with the staff members of our client to ensure the cabinets and cubbies were designed to accommodate their needs.
