Monkeypod slab counters

Here is a pair of monkeypod slab counters we custom built for an office in downtown Honolulu. These monkeypod slabs showcase beautiful ribbon grains and live edge. The long counter measured just over 10 feet and the smaller counter a little over 3 feet at a thickness of 1-3/4″. Like all of our monkeypod furniture, these monkeypod were milled from locally grown Hawaiian monkeypod trees. Both counters from the very same log for matching colors…

Walnut dining table

This mid century modern walnut dining table seats up to 8 people. The legs were prototyped after a number of trial and errors. Made of all solid black American walnut wood. Clear lacquer coated for durability. The legs are attached to the edge of the table, almost flush, giving it a modern touch. This walnut dining table was built by Satoshi Yamauchi in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Headboard and closet doors

Our customer has recently sent us some photos of their newly decorated bedroom. The designer’s taste really shows. The white, green, brown, grey color palette really ties in well in this ocean front condo in Waikiki. The headboard and closet doors are made of sapele wood, stained to a “koa”-like color, finished in satin lacquer.

Hotel room mini remodel

We helped remodel a hotel condo unit at the Ilikai Hotel. We designed and fabricated a wide wood panel headboard and two sliding shaker style doors. Both items are made of stained Sapele and clear coat lacquered in a satin sheen. Installed, complete with high precision Japanese sliding door hardware pieces. The two new improvements made to this hotel room allows for a breezy Hawaiiana feel.

Hotel woodwork, front desk and wall panels

Sapele woodwork made for a local high end hotel here on Oahu. The project consisted of both Sapele millwork and high pressure laminate cabinets. The millwork included oversized 12 foot raised wall panels, front desk, and the concierge desk. All of the cabinets and woodwork were made here in Honolulu. The millwork has been stained to a darker mahogany color and finished with satin lacquer. The millwork was matched with marble stone countertops.    Front desk  …
