We carry a number of Hawaii grown monkeypod wood for those who wish to order a Satoshi Yamauchi furniture. Here are some slabs that are available for purchase. If you are looking for a dining table, we recommend choosing a slab that is 30″ + wide or make use of two consecutive slabs from the same tree. For desks or coffee tables, under 30″ wide slabs are suitable.

Do not know what a bookmatched table is?

Bookmatching is the practice of cutting two adjoining wood slabs or pieces so that when two slabs are opened the two surfaces mirror each other. These are also referred to as sequenced lumber sets. Sequenced lumber adds beauty and a consistent look to furniture.
